LIZABETH ROSE! |

The SLO School district lists her position as merely: Secretary/Clerk, but thanks to those lucky enough to work
with Elizabeth, we have a much better idea of her scope. Here's a letter I rec'd a few weeks ago in response to an open invitation for nominees to this category... "Yes,
I do have a Morro Bay resident to nominate as Citizen of the Week. Elizabeth Rose
is perfect to recognize. She is one of Del
Mar Elementary's secretaries. Elizabeth is amazing. She helps students all day long, |

increases staff positive attitudes, and smiles all day long. She gives her smiles and positive attitude all graciously.
It's a gift that I look forward to each day when I arrive at school. Elizabeth is an amazing person. She is the light that brightens every individual that she encounters. Elizabeth Rose is
a perfect Citizen of the Week!"And who are we to argue? As our
Staff Photographer
& I stood by waiting for a chance to watch her in action, Elizabeth made her Herculean chores of multi-tasking seem effortless; a lost lunch here, a missed the bus there, another whose parent forgot to pick them up in-between and who hasn't shared this pain? -- one student who fell knees first scuffing them along the pavement. In all my years of other kinds of trips to the Principal's office, I never witnessed the hungry fed, the lost found and the injured healed without a tear in such seamless, rapid or kind fashion.
