Let me take you on a long walk down a short pier... half a century's worth so far... so many Leages under the sea!
It was the late 1950s and a lady named Sarah was dishing out some mighty fine clam chowder from a quonset hut named "The Harbor Hut" that once stood where PG&E now stands.
Altho the mighty generators
have been stilled, Sarah's original recipe is still being served just a few yards away - at 1205 Embarcadero - in the new Harbor Hut, as well as it's sidekick The Li'l Hut.
But these didn't come along
until after a fire in the late '60s claimed not only the new & improved hut built by a man named Tiger - but his pride & joy; the Tiger's Folly dinner boat.
It was just about this time young George
Leage and his brother Teddy appear in our story. Rescuing the burnt hull of the first Folly and marrying the boss's daughter, George rebuilt her (the boat - not the daughter) and continued the popular dinner
cruise for the next 30 years as the Tiger's Folly II.
Progressing from barkeep to captain to current owner, you can find George almost anytime of any shift standing at the helm of his good ship, and keeping
a sharp eye over the finest steaks and seafood we have to offer in Morro Bay.
