OHNNY GUNN! |

"Greater love hath no man than he who loans you his driveway --"Well, not exactly - he even gave me
his garage. In dire need of a safe place to repair my earth-bound rocket car, Johnny Gunn was "johnny-on-the-spot." But then, to all who know him well, that's nothing new.
Much like Tintzel-Town's honorary mayor, Johnny Grant
, Morro Bay's own Johnny Gunn gives command performances throughout the city's social calendar. Are you a wall-flower at chamber mixers?
Johnny will provide the red carpet introductions. |

"A very long time ago when young Lachlan and fair Emily were very, very much in love they heard the remnants of an
olden tale that was barely remembered. It told of a couple who never fell out of love... --"The Way of Forever" by Johnny Gunn |

Need to break the ice with the "Drinking Liberally"
crowd? Johnny will raise your toast. This bon vivant/raconteur is the cure for any social anxiety. And he should be.He's been in the Broadcast Advertising biz for over half a century. That
means he's the one who writes all those clever radio spots. The ones where you DON'T change the station! His first hit the air-waves in Anchorage Alaska in 1947. And if you attended the Harbor Festival
a few weeks back -- you could still catch the golden voice performing volunteer annoucements for everything from lost children to the next embarcation of the harbor cruise to performers like Red Holoway.Just sharing a cup of coffee with this gentle gent evokes the fondest of memories;
Janet Waldo -- the original Judy Jetson,
Ed Ames aka Mingo, the famous Indian companion of Daniel Boone and the infamous hatchet thrower on the Johnny Carson's Tonight Show. When the hatchet landed point blank between the target'g legs, it "prompted one of the longest laughs in television history."Born on Christmas morning,
just shy of 82 years ago, today Johnny deftly juggles his un-official Greeter duties with at least 4 original manuscripts
-- one of which chronicles "Our First 102 Moves" with his loving wife Jo-Ann.Here's to you Johnny. I'm glad to know ya'. -- Sir Edmund Dantes |
