REG BUSCHO! |

These days, more & more it seems that things we used to take for granted have fallen by the way...
Common sense. Common decency. Anachronisms in the "common era" - we don't even use A.D. anymore. Everything is delegated and abrogated. From policing our streets to taking care of our fellow man
-- it's not our job. Or is it still? Goverment regulations put in place to ensure low income and very low income housing be a part of any new development, especially big ticket

MAN WITH A PLAN - GREG BUSCHO |

that are drawn up for prime real estate like we enjoy here have been skirted or entirely ignored. When they do actually materialize,
they seldom come to market. Another bureaucratic crack for the unfortunate to fall thru. |
But that crack has become San Andreas. An entire population of
baby-boomers
are faced with the dire prospect of homelessness. Moving back home with your parents - as an adult - used to be the stuff of comedy. Today moving back home with your grandparents is starting to look like a pretty good deal.

What about our grandparents generation who have nowhere left to turn? |

One local man has a plan. It's not a pie-in-the sky dream. It's not a tax dodge. |
It's a fresh, clear-sighted, feet planted squarely-on-the-ground blueprint for safe and affordable housing that doesn't cut
corners - or dignity. |
His name is Greg Buscho. His plan is West Coast Housing. |

It's not a commune. And it's not beholding to government funding. |
Completely self-sustaining after construction, this "cluster-home" is a modern solution from the private sector. It is a habitat for humanity
without the hoopla. |
Greg's model clears the financial hurdles that continue to trip up other construction sites while answering the call of social responsibility through private
contributions. It's not the Christian thing to do. It's the decent thing to do.-- Sir Edmund Dantes |
