Jesus-marimba! Can this guy shake his maracas! But not without an entrancingly baudy ensemble.
"Three Sheets to the Wind" refers to a state of mind - not a musical trio. Originally they started as a duo with an alternating third partner. (See the complete Band Bio for more on Cap'n Tony...)OK Yoko, listen to me carefully: NO BODY BREAKS UP THE BAND! Life lessons from Fleetwood Mac? Nope- just the musical
ethics of Jack Beardwood and sometimes wife
Sidney Willson Young. A pair of musical talents alternating with a harmonious third player/vocalist over the past 15 years to produce authentic
rollicking revelry to the tune of 18th century sea chanties. Today that third crewmember is Chrisanne Wollett."Shanties" or "chanties" from the old English "chant"; composed like a Popeye's version of Snow White's "Whistle While You Work" with a healthy dose of sea
salt. |

Make that heavy on the salty;
to while away the more tedious chores of deckhands and crews. They are particularly proud of the fact that they have recorded the first/oldest song about venereal desease, "A Fire Down Below". Johnny Cash's posthumous musical endorsement of hemorroid cream with "Ring Of Fire" doesn't even come close to the ribald and good-natured energy of their performance. Jack beams, "We've had some of the finest musicians in the county leave our band!"
"Three Sheets to the Wind" drops their musical anchor next April 18 at the Las Flores Retirement Center in SLO beginning at 3pm. |

If you can't make that port but would still like to get your grog on - give a listen to these tracks from their first album,"Songs Of The Sea".
